The Lausitz Café is an entertaining series of events that occurs every two months, in which we would like to discuss with you specific questions related to selected key topics of structural change, i.e. several topics are discussed in each of the Lausitz Cafés. In 2024 we want to take the event series to the entire Görlitz district and invite you to the Kulturfabrik Meda in Mittelherwigsdorf on April 9th, 2024 .

The following specific questions should be discussed with the participants:

Topic 1: Digitalization of the city center (Cityinitiative eV)

The district's City Initiative would like to initiate a project to bring inner cities to life. Part of the project is intended to be an app that contributes to the revitalization of inner cities through digitalization.

At the work table you will find various functional ideas that could be integrated into the app. 

Please prioritize the features. Which functions do you see as particularly important in order to revitalize the city centers and which functions are dispensable for you? What content should be behind your top functions (top 3)?

Topic 2: Distribute SPEED tutorial (Structural Change Task Force)

Project development, funding applications, citizen participation and economic development. These topics are always important, especially for municipalities, but they always involve extra effort. External support is often sought. To make processes easier here, we have started a tutorial format. Unfortunately, not many people are aware of the format.

What options are there to disseminate the SPEED tutorials from the Structural Change Task Force more effectively?

Topic 3: Vacancies (Structural Change Task Force)

Imagine exploring your surroundings on a walk. Within a radius of 0.5km to 1km around your house/apartment you will notice various buildings or shops that are empty or unused.

What kind of buildings do you see?
What do you think of the respective buildings?
What could you imagine that could/should happen with this in the future?

Topic 4: Prima+ÖV mobility project (structural change task force)

 Imagine it's a typical weekday and you have an appointment in the nearest city, your car is in the workshop and the location of your appointment is not accessible by public transport. The option of a ride is available to you. What exactly would you need to consider this option on a regular basis? Think about factors such as carpool organization, communication platforms, safety considerations and possible incentives for drivers and passengers.

 

The offer is aimed at all citizens of the district of Görlitz and is free of charge. Catering is also provided so that nobody has to discuss hungry.
