Lausitz Café: “Foundation & Handover” – Perspectives in the craft sector
How can craft structures in Saxon Lusatia be preserved and expanded for the future?
In cooperation with the AutonomousLausitz project of the Dresden Chamber of Crafts, we invite you to the Lausitz Café “Foundation and Handover - Perspectives in the Crafts” on Tuesday, June 25th, 2024 from 4:30 p.m. in the Hafenstübchen on the Telux site in Weißwasser.
The Lausitz Café is an entertaining and interactive event where interested parties, potential founders, small business owners and established entrepreneurs get to know each other and exchange ideas at “Kaffee & Quark”.
Together we want to explore the question of what measures are needed to enable founders and potential successors to enter entrepreneurship as smoothly as possible and to use existing resources sustainably.

Why is it worth being there?
Lusatian craftsmanship faces a variety of challenges that often cannot be overcome alone. There needs to be an exchange of experiences as well as individual advice.
Approximately 31% of new business founders in the 1990s are already aged 55 or older. This means that these companies will face the issue of succession within the next decade. Handing over a business within your own family is becoming increasingly rare. The handover of the business is not always successful on the first attempt. That's why today it takes significantly more time and effective measures to pass on the business.
In order to make the handover successful, you need young people with ideas and the willingness to start a business. Economic development and structural change offer opportunities for career paths in crafts in Lusatia.
We look forward to your participation and an active exchange.
Even if you can't be there this time, please contact us for an individual discussion.
