Demography Project Koenigshain

With the project "Old Castle - new town center for young and old" we want to raise the existing structural treasures of the place in Koenigshain and develop a lively community center that is networked with the existing community offers of the place and interacts with them in a positive way.

The project aims to establish a new, functional town center for all generations in Königshain. Structural deficits are to be recognized and ways to resolve them are to be found in order to bring life to the culturally and historically valuable buildings and, together with the existing centers, to make Königshain an even more attractive place. Two citizens' assemblies are planned for this autumn, at which representatives of the clubs and other local organizations, the churches and interested people from Königshain can contribute their ideas and suggestions.

The 1st town hall meeting on Friday, September 29, 2023 will be about an overall view of Königshain: What and who do we already have and what and who are we still missing?

For this inventory after more than three decades of village development and demographic change, the central places in the village, their functions and the various actors, from sports to the fire brigade, local history association, citizens' table, church community, rifle club, tradespeople, etc. are included.
